  6. I watched the movie because I love West Baden/French Lick and had just finished the book. Sadly, the movie is an extremely loose adaptation of the book. I don't know that anyone can understand the movie if they don't read the book first. In fact, the movie doesn't even reference the Lost River so not sure why they kept the book title for the movie.
