ARTIST BIO. A native of Norwich, New York, Tom Pylinski maintains an active career as a freelance trombonist and music teacher in Ohio. He is a member of the Akron Symphony Orchestra, the Canton Symphony Orchestra and the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra. Tom was guest principal trombone of the Miami City Ballet during the 2019- 2020 season.

He is also featured on the debut CD of international vocalist Michel Chartier. Mr. Gibson has toured nationally with the orchestras of Jimmy Dorsey, Tommy Dorsey, Artie Shaw, and Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus. He appeared as a guest soloist at the 2002 International Trombone Festival held at the University of North Texas in Denton.
Gibson’s early experience in New York saw him performing alongside Mr. Hampton, as well as Jon Faddis, Roy Hargrove, Jimmy Heath, James Moody, and others. In 2003, he was a finalist in the Thelonius Monk International Jazz Trombone Competition and has subsequently released seven recordings as a bandleader.
