Sicario was my favorite movie this year. I loved it because it was simple. It didn't rely on some overly complicated plot with twists and turns. It's just about morals and revenge. I feel that most movies with subject matter this dark would somehow try to apologize for it in the end and Sicario doesn't. You feel uneasy and dirty after watching it.
There was a post recently about conservative movies and Sicario was mentioned multiple times. So I watched it last night. It was a decent movie; good pacing, good cinematography, pretty good acting. But, I fail to see anything 'conservative' about it. Edit: of course once I made this post, I can't find the op I referenced.
