The Fallout TV show was extremely similar. Like the trailer and the few scenes released on like, Jimmy Fallon were crazy scrutinized. We don't know any of the context on who this guy in power armor is or if he really is who he says he is or what his motivation is but they ruined canon because the Brotherhood of Steel (actually one guy) is rescuing the main character.
