I've been trying to get a reservation at Gramercy Tavern's Tavern section, and for the better part of a year, there hasn't been anything available except for the super early 5PM table which usually isn't in very high demand. I had to settle for 5:30PM as I knew if I kept waiting I probably wouldn't get that 6:30-7:30PM sweet spot anytime soon.
