The Tomb of Ligeia is considered by many to be the best of Roger Corman’s Poe adaptations. I’ll reserve judgment until I rewatch the others, all available in August on the Criterion Channel, but it seems to be more sophisticated in terms of plot, structure, and psychological depth.
