Jun 17, 2009 · Captain Blood is a rousing, rip-roaring action yarn if you skip the first 45 minutes of this two hour movie. It takes far too long to get to any action. Blood is arrested and sent away. He meets and falls for Arabella. Sure, this introduces the characters and setting, but it should have been done in half that time. This is an adventure story.
