  2. Aug 2023 • Couples. Place Royale is a lovely public square in Old Quebec. Being close to the harbour it was a busy commercial place in the old days. This square apparently lays claim to being the birthplace of French Canada. Even a bust of Louis XIV stands in the middle of the square. The area is a pleasure to visit.
