The Everglades Club is a social club in Palm Beach, Florida. When its construction began in July 1918, it was to be called the Touchstone Convalescent Club, and it was intended to be a hospital for the wounded of World War I. But the war ended a few months later, and it changed into a private club. The Club has no sign, website, or Wi-Fi.

The Everglades Club opened in February 1919 and was immediately embraced by Palm Beach society, launching Mizner’s architectural career. Along with the main building, the club featured eight separate villas, tennis courts, a yacht basin, and a golf course, which was added the following year.
The Everglades Club was Mizner’s first commission in Palm Beach and is considered an important (and certainly the most celebrated) starting point for the popularization of the Spanish Mediterranean Revival style of architecture that would sweep across South Florida over the next century.

The Everglades club, designed by Addison Mizner and built by Paris Singer, was begun in 1918 as a hospital for convalesing World War I veterans. The war ended before the hospital could be completed and Singer, with millions to spend, suggested that Mizner redesign it as a club.
