IMHO, movies like Black Christmas, which is essentially a home invasion movie, had to take some cues from Wait Until Dark. If you liked Black Christmas, The Slumber Party Massacre (1982) is a nice entry in the genre. It’s a little less bleak than Black Christmas, but has a bit of a feminist lean and appears to borrow heavily from the formula.
