There might not be any rhyme or reason to my distaste for it, it just really doesn’t seem funny to me. Different strokes, to say Seinfeld doesn't have a plot though is crazy. Maybe in the early episodes when it was all about waiting in a Chinese restaurant, but after Season 2 the show became loaded with plot.

But every once in a while, you encounter a few bad jokes so jaw-droppingly ridiculous that they transcend their own awfulness to reach a higher plane of funny. I honestly find 90% of 'funny things' unfunny, regardless of situation. I definitely suspect that in social scenarios there is a lot of fake laughter going on. I don't they're necessarily fake. A big reason for laughter is the social bonding that accompanies it, rather than just acknowledging funniness.
