  1. Mar 8, 2010 · So, if anyone can recommend aftermarket door speakers for my 93 Miata that just plug and play, I would appreciate. I have tried looking for speakers with matching mounting hole patterns, but to no avail. I am not an audiobuff, just looking for a decent set of 6.25 door speakers, preferably under $ 75 or so. Thanks in advance and Happy New Year! Joe

The speaker removal basics are the same, and they're all detailed in your MasterSheet. As with the earlier cars, a variety of 5-1/4", 6-1/2", or 6-3/4" speakers will fit into the opening.

  4. Hoping to get some clarity. One of my 07 stock speakers went out and I'm looking to upgrade them. Budget is $100 bucks tops. I got a couple questions. Any recommendations for speakers? If I buy 2-way speakers, should I keep or disable the stock tweeters? Am I better off going a little cheaper on 1 way speakers and getting a seperate tweeter? Thanks

  5. Mar 8, 2010 · It may be necessary to cut a radial slice in the bowl to achieve a tight fit in the door's speaker hole. Pre-trim the bowl's perimeter rim, as needed, for a good airtight compression fit in the door, and between the speaker's frame and the metal door panel. Use non-hardening sealer to assist an airtight seal.

  7. It's a great place to put an amp where it will never be found (and stolen) without taking up ANY space in your car. The Infinity Speakers with the amp sound GREAT! The only addtion I am planning on it a small sub behind the seats as aftermarket speakers cause a loss in bass. I would also like to add (2) 3.5" speakers in the rear just for fill.
