I have been to the summit on two previous occasions with Mauna Kea Summit Adventures, (excellent outfit). Their tours are kind of pricey, but worth it if the weather is cooperating. The sunsets, and view of the night sky is amazing. This visit, we all decided to take a trip up early, on a clear view gorgeous day.
