Mar 17, 1995 · Solid well-told meeting of Sherlock Holmes and the Phantom of the Opera. Nicholas Meyer smoothly inserts the great detective in to Gaston Leroux’s original story. However, there’s not a lot gained by adding Holmes to the story, his POV seems almost redundant. Though I enjoyed this novel, I much prefer Meyer’s first two Sherlock stories.
