In Alien Force Ben puts on the Omnitrix for the first time in almost 5 years. As such it is said that due to its long period of inactivity the Omnitrix needed to recalibrate. In doing so it changes its appearance to look more sleeker more like a regular wristwatch, with a predominantly green and black colour scheme (as shown below).

The redesigns that the original aliens had throught all the continuity often are focus of debate and discussion (specially the ones from Omniverse). While some of them are liked by the majority (UA and OV Heatblast) others have been polemic (UAF Diamonhead. OV Four Arms), hated (UA Ripjaws), controversial (UA Four Arms) and are debated still today.
