The Discovery Museum is very hands-on for children subliminally teaching lots of physics principals. There is also a planetarium with scheduled shows that is ok but was fairly boring for the children - dim visuals and narration that was a little over their heads.

A wonderful museum located in the largest city of the State of CT. The Musuem is now under the auspices of Sacred Heart University. It has nice exhibits but the main attraction is the planetarium which is amazing. The museum is definitely worth a visit.
**Wednesdays are free for Bridgeport residents with ID Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 10:00 am – 5:00 pm . Discovery will be closed on Monday, May 13, 2024.
The saving grace for this museum was the Adventure Science exhibit which reminded me a bit of American Ninja Warrior, the mini version. My kids loved this particular exhibit, they spent the majority of their time there. It's a small museum and I think it has a lot of potential, just needs some updating.
