The Fort Worth Municipal Rose Garden was dedicated on October 15, 1933. The following year, Rock Springs Park officially became the Fort Worth Botanic Garden. The Fort Worth Garden Club opened the Rock Springs Building in 1935 as the first established garden center in Texas with offices, a greenhouse and a library.
