A List Song is a song whose lyrics lists a bunch of things that all tie together in some way. Not quite the same thing as a Patter Song (though they can overlap). A patter song is a song which spits out a lot of words in very little time. Lots of sixteenth notes, a moderate-to-fast tempo, and more often than not, a very limited melody.
