Feb 29, 2024 · Audition rotations, also referred to as sub-internships, are two-to-four-week electives during which medical students generally operate at intern level within a residency program. They are not required; however, auditions are a great chance to learn more about residency programs, impress program faculty, and obtain strong letters of recommendation.

Preparing a patient bed – possibly one of the first skills you’ll learn is how to make a real hospital bed. Administering medication. IV administration. Breath sounds – normal vs. abnormal. Heart sounds – normal vs. abnormal using a stethoscope. Pharmacology math for medicine calculations.
Application Requirements. In order to take a rotation at KU Medical Center, you must meet the following requirements at the time of application. All documentation must be included. Covered by at least $3,000,000 aggregate/$1,000,000 instance worth of malpractice insurance. Students may purchase additional insurance, as needed, after acceptance.
