Why you should watch Marco Polo: The scenery is absolutely beautiful, and the whole time period felt very exotic. There were moments in the show that truly feel mesmerizing. Benedict Wong's performance as Kublai Khan is my own pick as the best acting this year. The fight scenes are very well choreographed. You are a fan of Chinese culture.

Marco Polo literally being the eyes and perspective for the audience was a great idea. Having the primary plot involve his various family members, business enterprises, and love affairs, was silly. The end result as a series that felt like the only constant was "Marco Polo is the main character, look how everything revolves around him."
