  2. They All Laughed is one of those movies that seems a great idea on paper, but what ends up on the screen just doesnt quite jell. A story about a trio of NY private eyes who fall for their "prey" seems fraught with posssibilities, but the story just never takes off anywhere. The movie just ambles along (quite pleasantly) without much direction.
