The Pennsylvania Railroaders Memorial Museum is in downtown Altoona (1300 9th st) and is 3 floors packed with stuff about the Pennsylvania Railroad plus they have a gift shop. There is also a building in that complex where the Pennsy K-4 that was on Horseshoe Curve for so many years sits in numerous pcs.
