We drove almost 2 hours from Houston to Sea Rim State Park. First thing that you will notice is that is near extensive industrial areas for the oil industry, wich do not give a good impresion of the area, due to possible polution. The entrance fee is 5 dollars per person. It is a very long piece of land in front of the sea.
Sea Rim State Park has 5.2 miles of Gulf shoreline and 4,000 acres of marshlands. Enjoy a scenic coastal jaunt along the natural beach along the Texas coastline of the Gulf of Mexico and the Sabine Pass waterway. From these beaches you’ll experience exotic birds, fresh and saltwater fish and the state’s densest alligator populations.

Sea Rim State Park is located in a marshland area and throughout the year mosquitoes can be a major nuisance. Please plan accordingly. Park and gates close to Day Use customers at 10pm.
