Jun 28, 2006 · Didn't want to give them one star but had to. Title on DVD case and DVD state "Those Fantastic Flying Fools". Play the DVD and "Blast Off" in actually on the DVD. This is the second time they did this. First time, maybe it was a mistake. Second time, no excuse. Either they just sent the same DVD back to me or there complete morons.

Much of the slapstick is tiresome and derivative, but there is one cute closing gag involving villains Terry-Thomas and Lionel Jeffries and a Siberian chain gang. There's precious little of the spirit of Jules Verne in Fantastic Flying Fools, save for the woodcut illustrations which decorate the opening credits.

Jeffries is replaced. Subsequently Price discovers that Terry-Thomas has been gambling away the committee's money, and he is fired. Facing financial ruin, both men decide to sabotage the project. Gert Frobe, the inventor of the new explosive to use to send the vehicle to the moon, is a totally mad German scientist.
