  5. Nov 5, 2006 · It is sublime rock. It is superb symphonic music. I like the original better than the much later Deep Purple recording of it with another orchestra. For one, Ian Gillian's voice, which is still a fine rock voice, sounded better way back in rock's most innovative and creative decade. The Concerto is brilliant.
