This movie stars 'Tippi' Hedren, Sean Connery, Diane Baker, Louise Latham, Mariette Hartley, Martin Gabel, and Alan Napier. Hedren plays the role of Marnie Edgar, a strange woman with psychological problems who is a professional thief and has an intense fear of men, thunderstorms, and even the color red.
Uneasy in a leading role, Tippi Hedren's career ending performance is nonetheless her finest. She's helped considerably by Sean Connery, Herrmann's wildly over the top score. After continuous set conflict, Hitch walked away from the film in spirit. The film has its apologist, but a film requiring such means it's more midnight movie fare.
