Who Pays the Ferryman? is a British TV drama series written by Michael J. Bird, produced by The BBC and first broadcast in 1977. Fully intended to be a one-off series, it ran for eight episodes. Alan Haldane (played by Jack Hedley) is a boat designer who has lost both his wife and (more recently) his business.
