Wenceslaus was a son of Ottokar I of Bohemia and his second wife Constance of Hungary. He was a younger, paternal half-brother to Margarethe of Bohemia and Božislava of Bohemia.
Wenceslaus II Přemyslid of Bohemia, King of Bohemia, King of Poland, Duke of Kraków, was born 27 September 1271 to Ottokar II of Bohemia (c1230-1278) and Kunigunda of Slavonia (1245-1285) and died 21 June 1305 of unspecified causes. He married Guta von Habsburg (1271-1297) 1285 JL in Cheb. He married Elisabeth Richenza of Poland (1286-1335) 1300 JL .
He was the only son of King Ottokar II "the Great" of Bohemia and Ottokar's second wife Kunigunda. Kunigunda was the daughter of Rostislav, lord of Slavonia, son of a Grand Duke of Kiev and Anna of Hungary, daughter of Béla IV of Hungary. Wenceslaus's father died in battle August 26, 1278, shortly before Wenceslaus's seventh birthday.
