Value, nature preserve, has a good reputation within New York State and know a good number of people who went to Ivy League grad school programs. Terrific value for in state students. Worst The city. The social life, Binghamton has good people, bright ones but not extraordinary interesting ones. Most are bright kids from the northeast.
Binghamton's CS upper level electives also often have less than 15 students in a class, which can be a great experience if the professor is good. Looking at earnings Data, it looks like CS graduates at both schools actually make almost the same amount of money.

Binghamton is ranked like #2 for best value schools. It very much is. I don’t think you could possibly beat the level of education for the price. As far as campus life it’s very much what you decide to make of it. People often have opposing views on this because to get involved you have to get involved (if that makes sense).
They tend to be shallow, and every university is creating them as a cash grab because of the data science craze. You’re better off with a MS CS or MS/MA in statistics. You don’t need a class to learn SQL and databases imo. As mentioned, it’s also a new program, so there really is no way to know.
A few people here are suggesting you get an interview, which Binghamton doesn't do. You can talk to a counselor, but it have relatively little to do with your chances of getting in. That said, it doesn't hurt and you'll learn a lot more about the school. Your SAT score is decent, assuming you took out the writing section, as Binghamton doesn't ...
Binghamton is definitely a more remote town, things close earlier, there are good restaurants but there aren't many of them. Still, if you want something a bit calmer to focus on school this is probably the better place.
