The Bible speaks out against excessive drinking, warning that it can lead to trouble. Christians are encouraged to be guided by the Spirit, rather than substances. This issue of alcohol use comes up often. On one hand, Jesus turned water into wine, and Paul even recommended wine for health reasons.
