Normally, a Single is a 7" with 2 short tracks of 2-4 minutes length. A Maxi-Single is a 12" with at least 2 extended tracks of 5 to 10 minutes length. So as one should see, the word "Maxi" refers to the tracklengths, and NOT to the number of tracks. Due to vinyl capacity, "Maxi" also relates to the size of the vinyl.
