Roadside Picnic is almost nothing like Stalker, i swear Tarkovsky just took the concept of the zone and the stalkers as guides to the zone and left EVERYTHING to else from the book. it’s still very fun and trippy sci fi book tho that’s worth checking out, plays with the metaphysical aspect of the zone in a similar way to the film.
