After Something strange went on in the neighbourhood back in 1984, we could not resist wanting to see more from the ghoul-snatching gang, but director Ivan Reitman’s 1989 sequel to his own classic was - and remains - one of the most polarising movie sequels ever made.

4 days ago · Spoiler-Free Judgment Zone. This had an awesome beginning and a very good ending. In the middle is a sort of anthology of tales. They are grim and disturbing, which we liked, but we thought they were too long and on the dull side. Overall, it’s a win, but it’s very hit-and-miss. Spoilery Synopsis

1 day ago · The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman My rating: 4 of 5 stars I picked this one up after seeing the later books in the series vaguely out of the corner of my eye on Lucky Day shelves at different Fort Vancouver Regional Library branches, and also after hearing that Chris Columbus was going to be directing a film adaptation for Netflix with Steven Spielberg producing.

4 days ago · Pandemonium Review. Pandemonium may be best described as a soft anthology. It uses the format to detour the main story into a couple of side stories unrelated to the plot. We generally review anthology films in a very specific manner…ranking the segments by how effective they are.
