3 days ago · Violinist Alena Baeva has been named as the new Artist-in-Residence at the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (BSO). Baeva will perform the concerti of Mendelssohn and Berg at concerts in Poole, Exeter, Portsmouth, and Basingstoke, before returning to Poole in April 2025 to give a recital. She will be joined for this by the pianist Vadym Kholodenko.

tl;dr My Bach is at a higher level than my concertos and showpieces. Looking for a concerto around the level of the Bach G minor fugue. Would prefer something other than Mendelssohn unless there are some pedagogical advantages unique to that concerto. Have some favorites but open to suggestions.
