Apr 29, 2020 · Albertsons Stadium is the home of Boise State University football and the annual Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. The venue opened in 1970 with 14,500 seats at a cost of $2.2 million. In 1974, the east side upper deck was added, increasing the seating capacity to 20,000.
Today, Albertsons stadium has room for 36,387 spirited fans. But as you can guess, this incredible team plays to packed-till-bursting crowds. As the stadium has had nine games to date that surpassed this capacity.

Dec 22, 2014 · Albertsons Stadium (formerly known as Bronco Stadium), home of The Blue, is the third stadium in Boise State short history. The university has grown from a junior college with a thousand-seat field with wooden bleachers in the 1940’s, to the current incarnation, with a capacity of 36,387.
