Carlos Antonio Giménez (/ h i ˈ m ɛ n ɛ z / hee-MEH-nez; born January 17, 1954) is a Cuban-born American politician and retired firefighter serving as the U.S. representative for Florida's 28th congressional district.
First elected to Congress in 2020, he serves on the House Armed Services Committee, the Homeland Security Committee, and the House Select Committee on Strategic Competition between the US & the Chinese Communist Party. He is the first career firefighter paramedic to ever serve in Congress.
