Memorial Park, a municipal park in Houston, Texas, is one of the largest urban parks in the United States. Opened 100 years ago in 1924, the park covers approximately 1,466 acres (5.9 km 2) mostly inside the 610 Loop, across from the neighborhood of Memorial.
Millions of Houstonians visit Memorial Park each year to enjoy the variety of activities available in the Park.

Whether for recreation or simply enjoying the outdoors, over four million people visit Memorial Park each year. General Guidelines Natural surface trails are closed during and immediately after a rain event.
