Yes tris is proof that it worked but the whole purpose was to build up the divergent population so that they could essentially repopulate everywhere else. Tris was the only genetically pure one simply bc she’s the main character lol (I actually really hated this plot point and I feel like it takes a lot away from the integrity of the story).
