Anguirus in Godzilla: Final Wars. Anguirus was under the control of the Xiliens and was sent to China and attacked Shanghai. He was attacked by the Karyu, but he proved too fast for it. He continued to fight against the humans, but he was recalled by the Xiliens on their commander's orders.

6 days ago · In many Godzilla video games and in the film Godzilla Final Wars, Anguirus was shown to be able to retreat inside of his carapace and curl into a ball, allowing him to travel very quickly and also inflict damage on buildings and enemies with his spiked carapace.

In Godzilla: Final Wars, Anguirus had the ability to curl himself into a ball and propel himself forward with tremendous speed. The Final Wars version also possessed a spiked tail club like a real ankylosaurus, though it was not used in combat.
Other than his first appearance and Final Wars, we, the audience, are supposed to love him and root for him, even when he doesn't win. And it works, because not only is Anguirus the ferocious underdog, he's Godzilla's loyal companion and buddy. It makes Anguirus endearing to us.
