Canvas by Instructure is the Course Management System (CMS) used in all online and hybrid courses at Foothill College. Some in-person courses may also use Canvas.
Before you log into MyPortal make sure to clear your browser's cache. Log in to MyPortal (https://myportal.fhda.edu) using your Student ID Number and Password. From MyPortal, you may access your student account, your records and your transcript, and your online course in Canvas.

You can download the Canvas App and log in to access your courses. If you are associated with different colleges that use Canvas, you can only log in to one college at a time.
Log in to MyPortal (https://myportal.fhda.edu) using your Student ID Number and Password. From MyPortal, you may access your student account, your records and your transcript, and your online course in Canvas. Do not forget to log out of your MyPortal session. Logging out of Canvas will NOT log you out of MyPortal.

How do I log in to Canvas? Log in using your Student ID and password (same as MyPortal). Be sure to check for a welcome email from your instructor at the email account that you provided when you applied for admission to Foothill College.
Once you're registered for your course, you'll use Canvas to access your course materials and where you'll interact with your instructor and fellow students and turn in your assignments. You can access Canvas from within MyPortal or by downloading the Canvas Student App.

Canvas deploys a new release every few weeks. Each release includes bug fixes and enhancements; some of which have been requested and voted on by the Canvas community. For each release, notes are posted to the Product Release Notes forum in the Canvas Community.
