     I am usually filling the page number information on every new page during the pdf build. This means that I know the page number of the edited page which is currently the last page.

     Finally, I used a div to wrap the whole content of body, and drew the background watermark picture on this div. It seemed to work with a little defect that watermark picture does not extend to the bottom of the last page(red circled in result pdf picture). Any help to eliminate this defect will be appreciated! Additional codes as follows:

     -CSS :

     .watermark { background: #fff url("watermark.png"); background-size: 100%; }

     -HTML:

     <div class="watermark"> <div class="page"> <h1>This is Page 1</h1> </div> <div class="page"> <h1>This is Page 2</h1> </div> <div class="page"> <h1>This is Page 3</h1> </div></div>

     To turn it on:

     window.onbeforeunload = "Are you sure you want to leave?";-

     To turn it off:

     window.onbeforeunload = null;

     Bear in mind that this isn't a normal event - you can't bind to it in the standard way.

     To check for values? That depends on your validation framework.

     In jQuery this could be something like (very basic example):

     $('input').change(function() { if( $(this).val() != "" ) window.onbeforeunload = "Are you sure you want to leave?";});

     With JQuery this stuff is pretty easy to do. Since you can bind to sets.

     Its NOT enough to do the onbeforeunload, you want to only trigger the navigate away if someone started editing stuff.

     To make this work in Chrome and Safari, you would have to do it like this

     window.onbeforeunload = function (e) { e = e || window.event; var msg = "Sure you want to leave?"; // For IE and Firefox prior to version 4 if (e) { e.returnValue = msg; } // For Safari return msg;};

   Why is pdftextfield font not working?

   • However, the reason PDFTextField.Font was not working was because I was setting the Font after the Text. Text does not get refreshed from font change, so it looked to be using the "Courier New" default. I figured this out by debugging the PDFSharp source.
