Je n'ai jamais fait le rapprochement. "Mac" peut renvoyer à beaucoup de choses, avant tout les ordinateurs. Et c'est un diminutif de "maquereau", qui est d'abord un poisson. En dehors du contexte, je ne pense vraiment pas au proxénétisme. Peut-être que ce serait différent pour d'autres.
