2 days ago · Prior to this, I had read one Spirit story, the one that Jules Feiffer had included in his seminal reprint collection THE GREAT COMIC BOOK HEROES. And I hadn’t found it all that interesting. But I’d also read the chapter on the Spirit in THE COMIC BOOK BOOK and that provided a whole lot more detail on storylines and the appeal of the strip.
