University High School (UHS) is an accelerated public high school located in Tucson, Arizona. Originally known as Special Projects High School (SPHS), University High School is in the Tucson Unified School District (TUSD).
Students must apply for admission to UHS and meet test and grade point average criteria before enrolling. Students cannot enroll in UHS as a neighborhood school or through Open Enrollment. The TUSD Assessment and Evaluation Department (A&E), not UHS, handles the admission process.
University High School offers a thorough, college preparatory, four-year curriculum in Mathematics, Science, English, Social Studies, Modern Languages, and Fine Arts. All academic courses at UHS are Honors or Advanced Placement (AP).
