After finally getting fiber (1Gbit/500Mbit) I have trouble with slow internet connection while using torrent app on my laptop. So I had 100/50 internet on VDSL for last 10 years, and maybe last two years I have the same computer (Lenovo X1 Carbon, 10th Gen) on which I have installed uTorrent client and everything was working fine on old VDSL connection.

6 days ago · In resolve --> file --> project settings --> master settings - scroll down all the way and change the 'Retime Process' from 'Optical Flow' to 'Nearest'. I must have enabled it at some point but turning that off solved the sudden playback lag for me (and I didn't even use any retime on my clips at all.)
