Snowpiercer is an American post-apocalyptic dystopian thriller television series that premiered on May 17, 2020, on TNT. It is based on both the 2013 film of the same name, directed by Bong Joon-ho, and the 1982 French graphic novel Le Transperceneige by Jacques Lob, Benjamin Legrand and Jean-Marc Rochette, from which the film was adapted.
In the film Snowpiercer, an apocalyptic global ice-age is caused by the introduction of a fictional substance, dubbed CW-7, into the atmosphere, with the intention of preventing global warming by blocking out the light of the sun.

The fourth and final season of the hit drama Snowpiercer is set to premiere exclusively on AMC and AMC+ on Sunday, July 21 at 9pm/8c. Seasons 1 and 2 will be available to stream exclusively on AMC+ beginning Saturday, June 1, with the third season debuting on the service Saturday, June 8.
