Hossein Amini (Persian: حسین امینی; born 18 January 1966) is an Iranian-born British screenwriter and film director who has worked as a screenwriter since the early 1990s. He was nominated for numerous awards for the 1997 film The Wings of the Dove , including an Academy Award for Best Writing – Adapted Screenplay .
