Station 19 is an American action - drama television series created by Stacy McKee that premiered on ABC on March 22, 2018 and concluded on May 30, 2024. It is the second spin-off of Grey's Anatomy (after Private Practice ). Set in Seattle, the series focuses on the lives of the men and women at Seattle Fire Station 19.
Stacy McKee was a producer, writer, and story editor on Grey's Anatomy. She had been with the show since its beginning and eventually left to create Station 19, on which she served as showrunner for the first two seasons. She also wrote the tie-in novel Notes from the Nurses' Station.
