The Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków (Polish: Akademia Sztuk Pięknych im. Jana Matejki w Krakowie, usually abbreviated to ASP), is a public institution of higher education located in the centre of Kraków, Poland. It is the oldest Polish fine art academy, established in 1818 and granted full autonomy in 1873.

The Kraków Academy of Fine Arts was named in honour of Matejko in 1979, where he served as president for many years. After 1865 Matejko's international recognition grew. His Skarga's Sermon was awarded a gold medal at the 1865 Paris Salon, prompting Count Maurycy Potocki to buy it for 10,000 florins.
In 1860 he enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, but, dissatisfied with the guidelines provided by Professor Christian Ruben during the review of his portfolios, soon gave it up.
