The activities for kids are still there! They have a large Connect Four game, a large tic tac toe game, and so much more. Anywhere that kids can play while adults eat is a win for us!
The food was delicious. I had a grilled chicken sandwich and my husband had a burger. We were pleasantly surprised with how tasty everything was. The kids also devoured their burgers and chicken tenders.
During the transition, you could get take out and sit under the tents with a large fan to help with the heat. Thankfully, the beautiful renovations to the inside are now complete {as of August 2023} and the air conditioning addition is a fabulous upgrade!
Although the restaurant can get busy on Friday and Saturday night, the staff is friendly and helpful. In my experience, the food comes out in about 15-20 minutes!
Rivertown has lots of other things you can do with kids after you eat at Ground Pat’i! Just one block away is the Kenner Planetarium and Space Science Complex (open to the public on Saturdays). After speaking with some of the employees, this location in Rivertown will be their permanent location. They plan to build a stage for live music outside. Had lunch there today. Ordered from the light menu. Grilled chicken and baked potato, green salad.The wait was long because it was so busy. Food was well worth the wait. I loved it. Friendly waitresses, nice atmosphere, delicious food. Hadn't been there since the 70's. Look what I've been missing!!!!! See y'all next time!
